NetherRealm has released a gameplay video showing upcoming Injustice 2 DLC character The Atom – and it looks like the developer has nailed the superhero’s look and feel.
The Atom uses a quantum bio-belt to change size. In the game, he can shrink and grow, with special moves that rely on this mechanic.
I particularly like how Atom can shrink to avoid projectiles (at one point he shrinks down to a tiny size to avoid Joker’s crowbar attack), and fly into the body of his opponent (Bane hits his own head to force Atom out). Atom looks like a lot of fun to play as – and pretty annoying to play against.

After months of teasing, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has finally named its upcoming desert map and detailed some its various locales.
Miramar, the new map’s final name, will offer a more varied landscape of locations and hotspots than the original Erangel. Two cities – Los Leones and El Pozo – make up much of the map’s urban areas. The former will offer high-rise opportunities to hunker down, while the latter includes a Luchador arena and motorbike ring.
Then there’s the smaller town of Pecado, which features a casino to loot for top-end gear.

Superhot is getting a significant standalone expansion called Mind Control Delete, which will put a roguelike twist on the game. The full release is roughly a year away but a barebones build will be on Steam Early Access tomorrow, 7th December, and grow over time.
In the full Mind Control Delete game you can expect (according to the Steam blurb):
Mind Control Delete will be free to existing Superhot owners (and anyone who buys Superhot while MCD is in Early Access) but only when it launches in full. If you want in now you’ll have to pay a fee (currently not known). Mind Control Delete will be cheaper during the Early Access phase, then around the same price as Superhot – £18 – upon launch.

Firaxis has announced Korea for Civilization 6 expansion Rise and Fall.
Nine new leaders are added to Civilization 6 with the Rise and Fall expansion, which is due out early 2018. (Our Chris Bratt runs through everything you need to know about it in the video below.)
Korea’s leader is Queen Seondeok, who became the rightful heir after King Jinpyeong’s death in 632.

Are you a scrub or are you a saint? That is, in essence, the question being posed by Arms’ next Party Crash, it’s time-limited event that sees players fight for two characters as they partake in a quick succession of themed fights over a couple of days.
In one corner there’s Ninjara – boooooooo – the grab-spamming, teleporting numpty who’s favoured by unsavoury sorts when playing online.
In the other is Min Min, Arms’ noodle-haired, ramen-loving brawler, and the embodiment of all that is virtuous and right in this world.

Capcom has submitted an Amaterasu Courier for use in Dota 2 – and it looks like it will be added to the game.
Amaterasu, protagonist of Capcom’s lovely Okami series, is currently up for votes on the Steam Workshop. The reception has been positive, so it looks like Valve will approve this one for inclusion in its hugely popular MOBA.
The video, below, shows off how Amaterasu looks in Dota 2.

The third and final episode of Life is Strange: Before the Storm will launch just before Christmas, on 20th December (thanks, IGN).
Titled ‘Hell is Empty’, the episode will round out the three-part storyline set a couple of years before the original Life is Strange game.
The series’ bonus episode which reunites Max and Chloe (and both of their original voice actors) will then arrive early next year.

A note from the editor: Jelly Deals is a deals site launched by our parent company, Gamer Network, with a mission to find the best bargains out there. Look out for the Jelly Deals roundup of reduced-price games and kit every Saturday on Eurogamer.
We’re only a week or so removed from the last of the post-Black Friday and Cyber Monday discounting mania – and yet, inevitably, the deals remain. This week, to launch a set of Christmas offers, a range of retailers are offering some of the more recent video game releases with some decent discounts.
With that in mind, here’s a mid-week roundup of some of the cheapest games out there that you may want to check out while you can grab them for a little less than usual. Interestingly, some of these didn’t get discounted during Black Friday at all, with this being their first price cut for the year.

This past week has been a rough one for the FIFA community, with disturbing allegations of cheating calling into question the legitimacy of FIFA Ultimate Team’s most competitive mode.
Some of FIFA 18’s top players have been accused of disconnecting to avoid recording a loss via what’s called a “no loss glitch” – and now there are calls from some for EA to cancel this week’s Weekend League until the company can sort out the problem.
FUT Champions is FIFA Ultimate Team’s most competitive mode. I’ve reported on its demands and rewards, and the reason so many put so many hours into it (it requires you play 40 matches each weekend). Top eligible players on the global FUT Champions leaderboard receive an invitation to the FUT Champions Cups, so each match counts.

Pokémon Go artwork advertising the arrival of Gen 3 has leaked onto Apple’s own App Store.
We say ‘leaked’ – it’s likely someone behind the scenes simply uploaded the image a little bit too early.
The promotion’s subheading still references Go’s Halloween event which featured the game’s first handful of Gen 3 Pokémon and which also, funnily enough, popped up ahead of time on the App Store.
